With its 1,100 inhabitants, Milo sits on the east side of Mount Etna at an altitude of 750 meters.

Its territory, characterized by green woods, chestnut grooves, orchards, vineyards, is of great naturalistic interest and falls entirely within Mount Etna’s Park.
Its geographic location, on the first wall of the Volcano makes it a panoramic window over the ionic coastline, from Augusta to Taormina, therefor it’s the ideal base for those who love the mountain, but don’t want to sacrifice the sea: in fact, just 14 kilometers separate it from the 1741 meters in altitude of Rifugio Citelli, and only 10 km from the gorgeous coasts of Jonio.

The milese territory has always offered to its visitors a valuable summary of the man-made and natural values of the Volcano, focusing in itself the best naturalistic, cultural and culinary aspects of an extremely charming volcanic area.

The town offers services, initiatives and various interesting leisure activities for tourists who decide to stay in its numerous reception facilities. The range of activities and services provided to the visitor is wide: guided excursions, a very equipped Adventure Park, degustation of typical products, musical and cultural initiatives, high level catering, guide visits to famous wineries, where the visitor can taste the Etna Superior White, an exclusive DOC of the milese territory.

In best organizing their staying in our territory, the tourist has a secure and efficient reference point in the Touristic Association Pro Loco di Milo.
